Claudia A. Kechkian holds a Master of Arts in the teaching of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures from the University of Alcalá in Spain. As a life-long learner, she is now working on her doctoral degree at the School of Linguistics, Literature and Theater Studies at this same university. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in the teaching of English from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina in Buenos Aires. She has over 30 years of experience in teaching English and Spanish to students of all ages, from elementary to postgraduate levels. She has taught English Grammar at teacher training programs at the university level in Argentina, and Medical Spanish at the postgraduate level in the US. She is the author of McGraw-Hill´s Quick and Easy Medical Spanish, a hands-on guide to Spanish basics, and was awarded the Xperitas Language Matters Award by the AATSP in 2016. Professor Kechkian is currently serving as president and communications coordinator of the AATSP Texas-Brazos Chapter, and she is a member of the National Spanish Exam Leadership Council. As a World Language Educational Consultant, Claudia provides language professional services, and professional development workshops for World Language Educators.
